What is a PIB?

The PIB (poreski identifikacioni broj) is the unique nine-digit tax identification number the Serbian Tax Administration assigns to every business at registration. It identifies the business in the tax system: on invoices, in tax filings and in the e-Invoice (e-Faktura) system.

The PIB is public information. Searching by PIB lets you check whether a company is active, what it does and how it performs financially — useful before signing a contract or paying in advance.
